New Tutorial and of course some fun links

Good morning everyone!  Sorry my post is late today, just one of those days.  Tomorrow I am starting a new job and today is the last day I have to get ready, ie, buy some work clothes, get my hair cut, organize the house, pack lunch and you know the routine. Needless to say I am still sitting in my robe at 9 am when there is far too much to get done.

I hope that you are having a great start to your week, and to my readers who live in the Eastern part of the US I hope that the snow stops falling and the sun starts shinning : )

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and I wanted to create a quick and easy Valentine's Day card, so, here is my take on a pocket card that is very quick, super easy and fun to make.

Here is a picture of the finished heart:

And here is a picture of the heart with the tag showing:

What I liked about this heart pocket is that you can make the heart large enough to hold a gift card instead of the tag, you can use scissors to cut out the hearts (no special equipment needed) and the heart can be given alone or put on a card.  I hope you like this new tutorial : )  Here are the directions (which will also be posted on PaperCraftPlanet.com later today) :

And of course we need to have a few links today, so check out these fun things:

Crafty Steals:  Each day there is a new "special" for the day, today's special is a set of 8 decorative scissors for $5.99. I love a bargain and check this website often to see what goodie is on special for the day.

Ribbon Tying Videos:  I somehow always have trouble tying ribbons, and loved these easy to follow videos!  Save this link for the next time you are struggling to make the perfect bow : )

Another Distress Ink Coloring Tutorial:  I really LOVE this style of coloring in images and found this tutorial very informative, step by step guide that is easy to understand.  One thing I will note:  While the tutorial author uses card stock, I find it much easier to color using water color paper.

New Tsukineko Products:   Oh my!  Staz On is now available in metallic colors!  And check out the Sheer Shimmer Spritz as well.....My shopping list of new products is getting wayyyyy tooooooo lonnnnngg : )

Ok, time for me to get showered and on with my todo list for today.  Don't forget that I absolutely LOVE to hear from you, please leave a comment and let me know what you think of today's post.  And if you want me to research something or if you have a special tutorial you would like me to put together, please let me know.

Have a most wonderful week everyone, and thank you so much for all your support : )
