Memorial Day post: some thoughts and links for you.

Good morning, and wow, we finally have summer weather here!  The outdoor furniture has been uncovered and cleaned off, all ready for us to have our first official barbecue of the season.  Family is coming over today for burgers and hot dogs, beans, potato salad, some chips and of course some dessert (brownies).   I actually read the paper outside this morning, something I love to do during the summer.  And last night we had the windows open until well past 8pm (another element of summer that I love).

Today is also a time to honor those who have died while serving their country, and I thought it would be appropriate to share with you a short story about one of my family members who was killed in WWII, Major Floyd Pell, you can read his story here.

Don't forget that I am offering blog candy,  leave a comment on my last post, click here for the post, and I will announce the winner next week, good luck everyone!  And I hope you have checked out all of the new Victoria Case collection, "Hearts and Hugs, Summer Collection," they are simply some of the cutest stamps I have ever seen!  You can't beat the price, especially if you buy the entire set, and you will find lots and lots of ways to use these adorable stamps.

Of course we should also have links, and here they are:

Patriotic Rubber Stamps:  These are pretty cool and you can use them for all sorts of things, holidays, cards and projects.

Brayered Ocean Scene:  This is so amazing, looks easy and it is just in time for all those summer cards coming up.

Non-stick craft sheet:  This is actually sold as an oven line, however it is exactly the same material as the craft sheet, it is also larger and cheaper.  I use my craft sheet non-stop, it is one of my must haves for stamping (though I don't think it was listed on my "must have" supplies, my oversight.).  If you do not yet have one consider purchasing one because your crafting life will be so much more enhanced!

Cute DIY Flower:  Easy and I love the way the flower looks on the project.  Next time you find yourself without a flower try making this one.

Quick and easy bow for your card video:  I thought this was a great, no fuss way to add a bow to your card:

That is all for today everyone, hope your week is wonderful, and thank you for your continued support and caring.
