Welcome everyone to the SCADC Blog Hop!  I am honored and excited to be a part of this blog hop, so without further adieu, here is the "Little Suzanne" from Elisabeth Bell:

Isn't she adorable! Keep reading for closeups of some of the card and for details on how I made the card.  And don't forget to finish the blog hop by visiting Susanna Boyd's Blog for another great image from the collection.  Oh, and don't forget to leave a comment on the SCADC store blog, "Follow Your Heart," for some serious blog candy!  UPDATE:  Oooops, the blog candy is over, but keep reading to find out how you can win some blog candy from me : )

Here is the list of other blogs for the blog hop:

To color the image I used Distress Ink, and then I used an orange glaze pen for the dots and belt on her shirt.  The background is distress ink with some Inspiration paint over ("Fairy Dust") the distress ink.  I used my slice to cut out the "a,b,c" and then added some glitter for bling.  The border for the stripe in the middle is from Martha Stewart, and the flourish is one of the new Tim Holtz "Alterations" Sizzix.  I cut the flourish out of acetate and then added some Glamour Dust (there is Glamour Dust everywhere on the card).  All of the layers were distressed with a distressing tool.

If you have not yet tried the Glamour Dust make sure you get a bottle from Susana, I love glitter and the Glamour Dust is absolutely the best there is, and you can use it on everything!
For the flowers I used the Viva Decor Pearl and Paper Pens, Opal and Ice White.  I paint a white flower with the pens to give the flowers a sheen.  For the colored flowers I put a drop of the pen on my craft sheet then added a little bit of distress ink (using a toothpick to pick up the color and then mix).  Then I used a wet brush to put the mixture on the flowers, here is a close up:

The orange rose was white until I added the Pearl Pen and then the added a second coat of pearl pen with just a bit of color.  Before the pearl pen dried I sprinkled Glamour Dust on the rose for added blig.  The blue roses were already blue, but the flowers underneath were colored using the same process as for the orange rose.  I did add some Ice White pearl pen to the blue roses and before the pearl pen dried added the Glamour Dust.
